| Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2007 jeep commander. The contact stated that whenever the vehicle was brought to a complete stop, the engine would exhibit an unusual increase in rpms and the vehicle would abnormally accelerate. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where they inspected and ran a diagnostic but could not duplicate the failure. The vehicle was taken to the dealer at least three times for the exact same failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified and offered no assistance. The failure mileage was 12,000 and the current mileage was 61,000. |
