| Description of the problem | Upon starting the engine reads a high idle, drive the jeep down the road and a red lightning bolt appears and then across the dash reads check gauges. At this point the coolant gauge quits working. If shut off and restarted the jeep sometimes won't start and will say transmission overheating even when it's not. It will sound like the starter is stuck and keep trying to start until the key is removed. After about 20 minutes of it sitting it will now start and the gauges will work properly and no warning lights. Already replaced thermostat and temperature sensor. |
