| Description of the problem | Vehicle stalls and driver loses command of accelerator, power steering and brakes. Happens at various speeds but obviously most dangerous at highway speeds. When vehicle loses power, all gear indicators light up on the dashboard and the vehicle information system display reads "service park assist system" and the check engine light appears. Recommended dealer repair is the replacement of the "electronic shift module". This temporarily solves the problem but recurs within a few thousand miles. |
