Description of the problem	Tl* the contact owned a 2007 jeep commander. The contact was driving approximately 35 mph on a curved road when the engine stalled without warning. The contact was able to restart the vehicle after several attempts. The vehicle was taken to an independent repair shop where an oil change was performed and the contact was advised to have the vehicle inspected by a dealer. The failure recurred and the vehicle was towed to the dealer where an engine module was replaced. The failure persisted and the vehicle was towed back to the dealer where several unknown repairs were made but to no avail. The vehicle was towed back to the dealer where the contact was awaiting a full diagnosis. The manufacturer was contacted and advised that because they were unaware if the independent mechanic made any repairs to the vehicle, they were unable to assist. The contact stated that the failure occurred before the vehicle was taken to the independent mechanic. The vehicle was not further repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 52,000.
