| Description of the problem | Tl*the contact owns a 2007 jeep commander. While driving approximately 30 mph, the engine slipped into a lower gear and made a loud noise. The contact attempted to pull to the side of the road, but the power steering locked and the engine stalled. The vehicle was able to be restarted immediately. A few days later, while attempting to stop at stop light, the failure recurred except this time the control panel failed as well. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer, but they were unable to diagnose the vehicle. There are no recalls listed at this time; however, the contact is experiencing the same failures listed in defect investigation number ea07007. The vehicle has not been repaired and remains at the dealer. The failure and current mileages were 11,000. |
