| Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2007 jeep commander. The contact stated that the electronic shift module failed while driving 70 mph. The vehicle decelerated abnormally before stalling without warning. The vehicle was taken to the dealer previously who replaced the electronic shift module however, the failure continued to recur. The dealer advised the contact that they needed to replace the electronic shift module once again. The manufacturer was notified who offered to cover fifty percent of the repair costs.
