| Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2007 jeep commander. While driving approximately 48 mph, all the warning indicators illuminated briefly and then dimmed. The braking and steering ability seized and the vehicle stalled. The contact had to maneuver to the side of the road to a complete stop. The contact waited a few minutes before the vehicle returned to normal. The contact also stated that the vehicle was repaired under a manufacturer recall for the ignition switch two weeks prior to the failure. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 105,000. |
