| Description of the problem | 2006 jeep commander 3 out of 4 interior door handles broken due to poor design in my opinion. Was told by the dealer it was caused by abuse or normal wear and tear. Both rear doors and the drivers door are broken the rear doors are hardly ever used so it isn't from wear and tear or abuse. Im afraid if in a collision i would not be able to open the doors from the inside if i had to get out in a hurry. From looking at forums on the web im finding out it is a wide spread problem. In order to correct the problem each door panel must be replaced. Chrysler has not redesigned the handles so in a couple of years they will have the same problem. |
