| Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2006 jeep commander. When she attempted to install the safety seat in the forward facing position ,she noticed that the vehicles rear seats head rest tilted forward;which does not allow the safety seat to rest against the seats back . She could not remove the head rests or push them backward; therefore the safety seat could tilt over if there was an accident. She contacted the manufacturer. A representative stated that this was how the seats head rest was designed and that there was nothing they could do to assist with the installation of her safety seat. She was advised to file a complaint with nhtsa. The safety seat was a como manufactured by recaro she did not have the model number.
