Description of the problem	My jeep commander driver and passenger seat belts do not lock into place correctly. To get them to lock you have to press and hold in the red release button, then to unlock the seat belt you have to press the red release button. Now as of november 22, 2012 the passenger seat belt is hard to lock into place even when pushing the button. The alarm goes off as if it is not engaged and the light on the dash lights up and chimes continuously. I called chrysler at 1-800-853-1403 on november 26, 2012 and was told that there are no recalls. I was told i would have to take it in and pay for a diagnostic and then call back and maybe something can be done. She gave me a reference number, but said that she is still closing the case. When this happened i looked online and found many complaints for the exact same issue. This is a serious safety hazard and should be handled properly by chrysler since it is a defect. I hardly even drive this car and have had older cars which i drove more often that never had any issues. With this same vehicle i had to deal with the stall issues for several months before it was fixed. Every time i took it to the dealership i was told that they would have to have it happen while they have it to diagnose it. I have had a wrangler in the past too that had problems.
