| Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2006 jeep commander. The contact stated that the front driver and passenger side seat belts failed to latch correctly. The contact stated that the seat belt warning indicator illuminated and an audible indicator was heard while driving. The vehicle was taken to the jeep store (810 nj-35, ocean township, nj 07712 (732) 774-6500) where it was diagnosed with a seat belt assembly failure that needed replacement. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to nhtsa. The contact googled the failure and found many complaints for the seat belt failure.
