| Description of the problem | Rear seatbelt latches are breaking, and susceptible to breakage. The orange release button on the seatbelts break easily. My concern is that it will happen when there's an emergency and the occupant may not be able to exit the vehicle due to the defective material in the latch release, possibly trapping the occupant. I suspect that the material used for these plastic release latches was incorrectly specified, and became brittle over time. |
