| Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2006 jeep commander. The contact started the vehicle and the four wheel drive indicator light was illuminated. The contact proceeded to drive as the vehicle became jerking with hesitation. The following day while parked on an incline, the vehicle rolled away and crashed into the rear of another vehicle. A police report was available. The vehicle was towed to a dealer were they stated there was a problem with the transfer case that can make the gears sticky and that is why the four wheel drive light came on. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileage was 35,000. |
