Description of the problem	2006 jeep commander limited. Transmission failed at 87,000 miles. Without warning, the check engine light illuminated and the vehicle downshifted to first gear at 60 mph (remember, this is an automatic) no acceleration control caused a slow down in an area where there are no shoulders to pull off on and nearly caused an accident. Could not get vehicle to move. Left family stranded in unfamiliar area. Two independent shops say it will take a transmission to remedy the problem. $3,500 dollars.*ln
