Description of the problem	Engine light come on, and stayed on. Checked obvious engine problems, oil, belt, gas cap, etc. No obvious cause. Took to local mechanic. Checked code and reset. Advised it had to do with center console shift linkage? Advised to bring back as soon as comes on again. This is however not the first time the light has come on for no apparent reason. Have had to pull over at least twice before on interstate to check engine. No cause found. After several restarts, light did not come on, and car ran, though sluggish and at time labored.
