Description of the problem	I purchased a 2006 jeep commander 5. 7 l hemi in may of 2009 with 46k miles . Shortly after the power steering pump went out ,i had it replaced . Then the car started to stall pretty much everyday and i took to the dealer and was told it needed a new battery . Two days later the car stalled again on the interstate and this time the dealer told me that i needed a new ignition switch and the problem will be fixed. This reduce the amount of stalls and it will happen about twice a month . Then i was driving with my son in the 3rd row seat and i cut off by another car and had to slam on my brakes the belt buckle broke off and my son end up on the floor . In july 2010 i was driving at about 65 mph and all of the sudden all the lights started to flash and the dash board lit up and engine stalled ,i lost the power steering ,accelerator become very loose and stuck to the floor ,brakes did not work 'i mput the car in neutral and used the emergency brakes to stop. There is smoke coming out of the hood so i got out of the car and called a tow truck . At the dealer i was told that there was a complete engine failure and that i needed a new engine . The car is out of warranty and the cost will be 8k to fix.
