Description of the problem	while driving down a level highway at about 70 mph, while using cruise, the rpms jumped drastically as if going into overdrive. Although it shifted for whatever reason, as i stated it was flat ground, there was no pick up speed. however, at other times i have had the 2006 jeep commander accelerate for no reason. I was not pushing on the gas and it has happened while in cruise. *i have also experienced sputtering mostly at about 40 mph but it has happened at speeds around 70 mph on the highway. Thankfully traffic has been clear enough to regain proper control. No pattern. I took it to the dealer after they told me to look for a pattern and there wasn't one. There were no error codes and the "situation could not be duplicated". Not real pleased. I am listing each type of failure separately on this site. I am also simply using a basic date because it has happened multiple times. When i picked up the jeep i was told it's a big motor and people just aren't used to driving them. My husband was raised on a farm, so he knows "big motors". Not acceptable. It feels very unsafe. jb
