Description of the problem	We were on our way out and on the road and the steering wheel did not want to move. It did not want to turn right or left. It would just go straight. We actually almost landed in the ditch as well as almost hitting a truck. This is a major safety defect. Our jeep commander is brand new and only has 700 or so miles on it. We had purchased it less than 3 months ago. So, our vehicle has been out of commission since dec. 2nd, 2007. I did call our dealer from which we purchased it from, since they are located in wa and we live in ak. They are aware of the situation. I also called the jeep corporation and they are aware as well. I did call our local jeep dealer and scheduled an appt. Their earliest appt is dec. 17th, 2007. This incident could have cost us our lives.
