| Description of the problem | I purchased the 2007 jeep commander with the 5. 7 hemi in spring 2013 and a few months later coming to a stop it just shut off. At first i thought maybe some water had gotten into the engine compartment since it was raining and shorted something. Started back up and thought all was fine. Well recently it has been happening more often, whether it is wet or dry out and at any speed or whether the cruise control is on or off. It also seems to try to shut down while feathering the gas pedal at highway speeds from accelerating to coast. On one occasion this summer at highway speed pulling our camper it shut down and i had to coast to a stop along the side of the highway to restart. Something has to be done. I have children, as i am sure many here with the same complaint do. |
