Description of the problemBeginning in october 2009 when the vehicle had less than 36k on it the engine stalled once. I thought maybe gas or something.... Then two more times in october while stopped. Gets worse by the week until it is actually stalling when driving at 60mph..... Have had it in for service on several occasions and they have replaced several components and still will stall. This is 2012 and since it all began i have filed 2 cases with chrysler, on the first go round, they thought they fixed it and again a few weeks later it began to stall. My daughter, 6 years of age, in the car and i am taking her to school and the engine stalls and we almost were hit by a vehicle traveling in excess of 55 mph, if that vehicle did not get out of the way it would have directly hit where my daughter was sitting. She began to cry and she will no longer ride in the commander. We are all afraid to drive it. It has stalled on us i know over 100 times in the past 4 years. I have begged chrysler to replace the vehicle. I loved my commander i have had several jeeps and this is so upsetting. Chrysler seems to deny they have any clue of these problems with 2007 commanders and i see several postings on this website alone of the same issue. It is dangerous to drive this vehicle. Someone is going to be seriously injured. Please make them step up to the plate and own up to this before it is too late for someone. I will never believe it is actually fixed and they make us drive it until it so bad that they can make it stall. In the mean time, we are in danger daily. Please help us and advise us how to get out of this vehicle and into a safe one for my family.
