Description of the problem	2007 jeep commander, 51,000 miles, stalls while driving without any warning. I was able to guide vehicle to side of the road and re-start the engine. This stalling problem has occurred on two occasions now, once with my kids on board, a scary situation to say the least. The engine light came on a week after the last incident and dealer believes the problem is a faulty electronic shift module, which they said is a known problem. When pressed about stalling of 2007 commanders, dealer said they were not aware of any problems or recall, yet replacement of the electronic shift module is a known problem? Based upon the submissions to nhtsa regarding this problem, nhtsa needs to take action now. The history of reports regarding 2007 commanders needs to be addressed, i urge the nhtsa and chrysler do the right thing before it is too late.
