Description of the problem	2007 jeep commander 85k miles problem started with service park assist light coming on. Car then would not accelerate for 10-15 seconds. Approximately two weeks later (yesterday) same problem occurred. This time i was on the on ramp to the highway where they are doing construction. There is no breakdown lane, so when you get on the highway you are in first lane. As soon as i got into the first lane, the service park assist light came on, the p r n d lights were all illuminated, the car would not accelerate again for approximately 20 seconds and the check engine light came on. This is an extremely dangerous situation as again, there is no breakdown lane to pull over. I called the dealership, they cannot take the car for a couple days. After reading the complaints from other 2007 jeep owners with the exact same problem, i printed these and brought them to the dealership. They indicated they have never heard of the problem and that i can pay for the diagnostic test and take it from there. I was also given the telephone number for chrysler. I had my son in the car, i am now afraid to drive the car and will have to find an alternate route to work as this exit will be this way for some time and had a car been closer behind me, we would have been hit.
