| Description of the problem | This complaint is in connection with a 2007 jeep commander 4x4. The vehicle stalled twice while on a highway service road. It is my belief that the placement and design of the ignition may be to blame for this and other stalls (which are now under nhtsa investigation). It appears that if you hit your knee on the key while it is in the ignition you can easily turn the truck off while it is in operation. Please review the placement of the ignition and its design as it appears to offer little resistance to glances from the driver's knee. It seems to easily turn the truck off. (date of incident below is approximate.) |
