| Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2006 jeep commander 4x2. The contact stated that the vehicle was repaired under nhtsa campaign number: 14v438000 (electrical system); however, the contact stated that the key was difficult to insert into the ignition switch as well. Once inserted, the key was difficult to turn. The contact also stated that it was difficult to remove the key from the ignition switch. The failure recurred each time the key was inserted or removed from the ignition switch. The vehicle was not taken back to the dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 45,000. Updated 02/05/16*lj the consumer stated she is still having problems with the vehicle. |
