| Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2006 jeep commander 4x2. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 14v438000 (electrical system); however, the part to do the repair was not available. While driving at any speed, the contact activated the brake to shift gears and then activated the accelerator pedal, but it did not accelerate. The contact had to pull over to the side of the road, turn the ignition off, and then restarted the vehicle. The failure recurred numerous times. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time to provide the part to do the repair. The failure mileage was unknown. |
