| Description of the problem | This vehicle has too many systems integrated into and controlled by a single computer. After only three weeks (less than 600 miles) the radio would not tune correctly and would sometimes turn off the heater when changing a station. This is not a safety issue but the computer controlled transmission started to make noticeable noises and vibrations during shifts, starting at the same time while driving on a moderate speed highway . I believe that the computer is no longer functioning as intended and may cause unanticipated performance anomalies which could provide challenges for which the driver is unprepared. It appears that far too much computer control has been attempted on this car and the technology is neither proven nor reliable. |
