Description of the problem	Around 2:30 am on december 30, 2020 i was driving home on the freeway. It was raining a little bit but nothing to what i have driven in before. I set my car to cruise at 65 mph when all of a sudden my steering wheel started locking up. I found that my steering wheel would not turn the way i wanted it to and was veering left. I had to use some force to keep it straight and not get into other lanes. I thought i was okay until a light lit up on my dashboard. I believe it was the engine light because as i heard it go off and flash at me, my car started to stall up and then go repeatedly. As if it was hard for it to grasp on to moving forward. Last night was the scariest night of my life and i hand never had that happen to me. Almost pulled over because i thought i was going to crash. I kept it at a stable 60 mph and off cruise control as soon as the steering went haywire and it seemed to have helped a bit.
