| Description of the problem | The automatic transmission shifting at low speeds constantly hesitates and freezes when trying to accelerate. Most often after stoping. The resultant delay in shifting often occurs when pulling into traffic and is particularly bad when accelerating from a stop up a hill. As a natural reaction to the effect of a stall while trying to accelerate the pedal is depressed further. When the transmission finally decides to downshift it results in a rough jerking of forward acceleration and high rpm acceleration. This behavior happens every time the vehicle is driven. The transmission has been faulty since the day the car was delivered new with 20 miles. The dealer claims there is no solution until the manufacturer issues a computer software fix. |
