| Description of the problem | Turned on the vehicle and immediately all the red lights were lit up on the gear shifter. It said service shifter and would not move to a different screen. Concerned about this i googled it, and followed instructions to reset. I turned the car off and waited 30 seconds, turned it back on, nothing so i drove away. 10 miles later the car dings, service shifter, and the shift lights were all lit up again. I parked, turned the car and followed the same procedure. Within 6 miles it did it again. This seems to be a problem with jeep cherokee's and it is not just the 2018 model years, it seems to be so common that jeep performed a recall on other cherokee years. |
