Description of the problem	The cruise control was set on my cherokee. I was going down a hill and the vehicle accelerated. The cruise was set to 59 mph and the speed got up to 67 mph. The motor revved to about 4000 rpms. I turned off the cruise, stepped on the brake and put the car in neutral. After a couple of seconds the motor stopped revving and returned to normal. I put the car back in drive and it was fine. I was on a state highway in a 55 mph speed zone.
