| Description of the problem | I purchased this vehicle in june of 2017. The service shifter error began popping up in november or december of the same year. It resets once the car is turned off and then restarted. I am currently approaching 20,000 miles and it seems with every new mile accrued that the light is coming on more often. After reading several online forums regarding this issue i realized that i am not alone. One persons account mentioned that their car was going 70 miles an hour when suddenly the car switched to park, causing a major accident and injury. This is very disturbing to me. Although my car hasn't shifted while the code is on yet. I am worried that me or a loved one (or a stranger for that matter) will end up being hurt or in a serious accident. |
