| Description of the problem | Tl* the contact's friend owns a 2017 jeep cherokee. The contact stated that while his friend was driving at various speeds, the brake pedal was depressed and was firm. The service electronic braking system message was displayed on the instrument panel. The contact, who works as an independent mechanic, diagnosed the vehicle with a defective brake booster. The contact replaced the brake booster however, the failure recurred three months later. The contact called victorville motors (14617 civic dr, victorville, ca 92394, (760) 843-8317) and was informed that there were no recalls on the vehicle. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 62,622. |
