| Description of the problem | 3 months after i purchased my jeep it shifts terribly. It does not do it 100% of the time though. It gets stuck in gears when shifting then revs to high rpms or jenks forward. Often times it feels like you get rear ended it jerks so bad. I have had it in the shop a few times, and most mechanics say it is normal. I am afraid it will jerk forward and i will run into someone one of these days. It is worse in stop and go traffic, hot days when a/c is running, etc. It does not perform any differently when vehicle is warmed up. It slips gears at both high speed and low speed, making a loud noise and abrupt motion forward. |
