| Description of the problem | In april 2018, my gearshift quit working. I was stationary. It would not shift gears. The lights on the gearshift console all lit up. My car was under warranty as it was only 14 months old at the time. The dealer i purchased from replaced the gearshift. On sept. 18, 2019, the gear shift lights all came on, the car dinged and the dashboard said check gearshift. I am now 49,000 miles and out of warranty. I read online there are many complaints of the gear shift/transmission on jeeps including mine, a cherokee. |
