| Description of the problem | The vehicle consumes all of the oil (bone dry) before the vehicle reaches 3000 miles and before the next scheduled service. This has happened two times. There is absolutely no signs of a leak. The vehicle stalls out and turns off while driving on the road with no warning (no check engine light or any other warning). This time it happened on 05/26/2020 on a highway with a 60mph speed limit. This is a huge safety concern. This problem is found all through out internet forums for the 2017 jeep cherokee and jeep has failed to put out a recall. The issue is known and they are intentionally putting thousands and thousands of people at risk of severe injury or death. The dealerships are calling it an, "over consumption of oil." |
