Description of the problem	Keep getting a notification that says "service shifter" dash light comes on along with all the lights on the shifter that light up red p,r,n,d. Contacted the dealership, they said this is a problem, but is not a recall. I've done some homework to find out that this is in fact a very common issue with jeep and has been ongoing. This issue should be a recalled before someone gets hurt! At first this the service shifter would appear after my jeep was started and go away once i restarted it and would not appear again. Now the "serviced shifter " is staying on and not allowing me to see anything on my dash. The dealership has notified me to get it to come off i must pay a couple hundred dollars to repair the part. 2 others where at the dealership for the same issue at the same time i was, and as you could imagine none of us were happy to learn this was not a recall. This issue needs to be recalled before someone gets hurt or dies of the faulty gear shifters in these jeeps!!!!! At first the notification came on at start up, but now comes on while driving!!
