| Description of the problem | On various occasions (3 so far) the "service shifter" warning message came on. By shutting off the ignition the problem would clear. On numerous other occasions i got a "check transmission" ... Unknown problem warning. These warning messages all occurred while the vehicle was in motion, on city streets under normal driving conditions. I took the vehicle to my dealer and a check came up with "transmission modulator, unknown problem" was noted. An appointment was made but the messages cleared on it's own (2 occasions for the transmission warning). The dealer advised me that nothing could be done without the message being active. |
