| Description of the problem | The service shifter light came on for no obvious reason, as i was driving the vehicle and no one touched the shifter. It scared me, so i immediately pulled over and checked it but it was in gear. So i turned off the car and restarted it and the message never came back on that day. Since then, which was about 3 months ago, the service shifter light has come on 4 other times. This has happened on both the highway and city streets. Speeds from 40mph to 70mph. My child drives this car. So i am especially concerned for her safety regarding this issue. |
