Description of the problem	Engine is using excessive amounts of oil. Using 1. 25-1. 5 quarts of oil per 1,000 miles. Engine has shut off while driving on highway on 2 occasions. When engine oil is low it does not shift properly. First engine was replaced with a new one and the replacement engine is also using excessive amounts of oil. Advised by dealership to let new motor break in and come back after break in period of 7,500 miles. Owners manual states that this vehicle does not require a long break in period as dealership stated.
