| Description of the problem | When driving on a highway at 70 mph, "shifter service" light came on in the instrument panel and would not go off. I was a little scared as all the transmission lights came on (park, reverse, neutral drive) and i could not tell how fast i was going. Since the car did not seem to have driving issues i continued the 20 miles to home. When we turned the car off the warning did not come back on when i restarted the vehicle. After checking this issue online i see that there are many people have had this same problem. And it seems that jeep is not sure what to do about it. Jeep dealer told me it was caused by u1465-00 and p1c86-1d codes, and are going to replace shift bezel and harness. More than a few people online said the same problem came back after the harness was replaced. |
