Description of the problem	An alert message reads "service shifter" across dash message center while driving. . The gear shift will light up every gear and neither clear off unless i pull over and kill the engine. The message does not store in the "error message" reporting system and i have been told from the dealership i purchased from as well as another that there is no recall and nothing can be done since the message isn't stored. I'm reading reports of these make/models locking up the steering and causing crashes.
