| Description of the problem | It appears i've gotten the transmission bug that seems to be going around. One month old 2015 trailhawk v6 automatic with 738 miles on it. Started the car(2-7-2015) and notification came on dashboard that read, "service transmission," "4wd deactivated," "remote start deactivated,' "and put car into park then shift to desired gear." i managed to get the jeep rolling and drove directly to dealership. I talked to the service rep this morning(2-9-2015), and before he could say anything, i told him it was the tcm. He actually laughed because i knew every problem. I guess best case scenario is that the reset works. If not i'm sure there will be a tcm replacement. Worst case scenario is the transmission needs to be replaced, and at that point, they can keep it. |
