Description of the problem	The suv would not start first thing in the morning as i was heading to work. Jump started in the afternoon and the car would not shut off, gears would not hold and could not go into park or neutral. I was trying to make it to the battery replacement center and get a new battery installed right away. Instead i had to put the hand brake on as the car would not stop and got it towed to dealership for new battery install. I was endangering myself and others in this situation. There was no indication about i needing a new battery prior to this incident.
