Description of the problem	My jeep cherokee electronic parking brake has come on by itself and it cannot be turned off. This first happened at the end of last year and i brought it to the dealer and i had to pay for the electronic parking brake switch to be replaced. Last week it happened again and i brought it back to the dealer and they told me that now the electronic parking brake connector and electronic parking brake module both need to be replaced at a cost of $1500 plus. Doing a search on the internet reveals that this is a common problem with jeep cherokees. I am afraid to drive the vehicle as this can happen anytime and it is unsafe. To drive. Looking on the jeep website they have issued a service bulletin that covers the exact issue - electronic parking brake module connector water intrusion. The problem that they claim is due to water damage and it is in a spot where i find it hard to believe any water can get in.dt tp
