| Description of the problem | Went to my dealer because the kept texting me to do this recall. I was not having any issues with my vehicle. While there, service manager told me my car was throwing a code service shifter and was like that when i came in today. I said that it wasn't like that when i came in. He told me it was a sensor and it would be 700 plus dollars to fix it. Again i told him there was nothing wrong when i came in and i refused the repair. I googled this issue on cargus and seems the whole jeep community is having the same issue. When the code service shifter comes on it blocked all the digital read out including speedometer so you can't see your speed. I don't know if this is real or a bad situation and what the car will do, if it truly is a shifter malfunction. This makes it very unsafe and scary to drive. |
