Description of the problem	We have had this jeep for 2 1/2 years. Have had transmission issues from day 1 with heavy shifting, lunging in park and transitions from reverse to drive. It also heavy shifts when going on a significant downhill grade. Initial dealer told us it was a software issue. Updated software did not fix second dealer told us a ring was installed incorrectly. Did not fix problem. Second dealer told us need a new transmission. Did not fix problem. Third dealer told us it was not bad enough to require repair. Back to second dealer. Who replaced transmission pan. Did not fix problem. Back to second dealer: waiting to replace transmission for the second time. The vehicle is unsafe. It lunges at random times. It does not move smoothly between gears. Dealers have said that there were major issues with the 2014 transmission. Now we have vehicle that we feel is unsafe, has devalued and i have spent countless hours taking for "warrantied" repairs that do not fix the problem.
