Description of the problem	Tl* the contact owns a 2014 jeep cherokee. While driving 70 mph, the gear shifter failed to move into neutral and the service transmission warning indicator illuminated. The contact coasted the vehicle to the side of the road and powered off the engine. Then vehicle was restarted and was able to drive; however, the failure recurred five miles down the road. The contact stated that the coolant increased to 200 degrees. The vehicle was taken to chrysler jeep dodge ram 24 (1020 belmont st, brockton, ma 02301, (781) 961-1550) where it was diagnosed that the transmission, four spark plugs, one coil pack, an auto grill shotter, and jumper harness needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to nhtsa. The approximate failure mileage was 99,000.
