| Description of the problem | The car does not fall into the proper gear and often seems like the gear has fallen into neutral and revs up although the gear shift knob is in drive. Moreover the button on the gear shift knob has fallen off without any signs of damage. Reported the problem to the dealer but dealer says the whole gear assembly needs to be replaced with parts cost of about $75 and a labor cost of about $145 totalling about @225. The issue was reported on the 37th month of vehicle purchase and the dealer was not ready to apply any consideration and confirmed that the charges need to be paid since the vehicle is out of warranty by a month |
