Description of the problem	When driving at 65mph on the highway. The engine shut off and the service transmission light came on. I was able to make it to the shoulder. I shifted into park and turned the jeep totally off. I then tried to re start the jeep and it started and still had the warning service transmission and the interior dash lights were flashing, i tried to shift into reverse, neutral and drive when i did i got a big clunk sound, i was able to get off the highway and into a safe highway rest area when i was driving to that location it seemed the transmission was in a midrange gear. When in the rest area i let the jeep sit for about 30 min and i tried to start again the service trans light was gone and the check engine light was on, i tried to shift and there was no issues so i was able to continue home. I have been searching the 2014 jeep cherokee latitude with the v6 motor and this seems to be an ongoing issue with the engine shutting off. This is a major safety issue, and jeep needs to totally replace the computer and transmission so this doesn't happen or buy back and make sure all of these are off the highways
