| Description of the problem | Driving at full speed on the highway the transmission suddenly disengaged, which led to redlining the rpms, because it failed to give me any control of throttle/acceleration. I had to get over and coast to the side of the road. The "service transmission" note came on the screen as well as check engine light. The transmission slammed a few times as if it were unable to find its gear. I have it at a dealership now, apparently being told flashing it may fix the issue... However, that doesn't make me feel better with how the vehicle acted or if any damage occurred due to this "computer" issue. This is our family vehicle, so having some major doubts right now. |
